1. Parties to the Agreement
This Puppy Adoption Contract is entered into between Great Pyrenees Pups (hereinafter "Breeder") and the individual named above (hereinafter "Buyer"). This agreement becomes legally binding upon submission of a signed copy and receipt of the agreed deposit or full payment.
2. Description of Puppy
The Buyer agrees to purchase one (1) purebred Great Pyrenees puppy as identified by name or tracking reference at time of reservation. The puppy is sold as a companion/pet unless otherwise specified in writing by the Breeder.
3. Health Guarantee
The Breeder guarantees that the puppy is in good health at the time of sale and has received age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming treatments, and a veterinary health examination. The Buyer agrees to take the puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of taking possession.
- If the puppy is found to have a life-threatening congenital defect within 12 months of sale, the Breeder will replace the puppy with one of equal value at the next available litter.
- Replacement is the sole remedy. No cash refunds are provided under any circumstances.
- The guarantee is void if the puppy is neglected, abused, or not provided proper veterinary care.
4. Buyer Responsibilities
The Buyer agrees to:
- Provide the puppy with proper food, fresh water, shelter, exercise and veterinary care throughout its lifetime.
- Never surrender the puppy to a shelter, pound or rescue organisation. If the Buyer can no longer care for the puppy at any point in its life, the Buyer must contact the Breeder first. The Breeder has the right of first refusal to take the puppy back.
- Not use the puppy for commercial breeding without a separate written agreement with the Breeder.
- Notify the Breeder of any serious health issues within the puppy's first year of life.
5. Payment Terms
A non-refundable deposit of $300 USD is required to reserve a puppy. The remaining balance is due in full prior to or at the time of pickup or shipping. Accepted payment methods include Zelle, Chime, Apple Pay, Wire Transfer and E-Transfer. Payment handles will be provided upon confirmation of adoption.
6. Return Policy
All sales are final. The Breeder does not offer refunds. If the Buyer is unable to keep the puppy for any reason, the Buyer must contact the Breeder immediately. The Breeder will make every effort to assist in rehoming the puppy within the Great Pyrenees community.
7. Shipping
If the puppy is to be shipped, all costs including airline fees, health certificates, crate, and nanny service are the sole responsibility of the Buyer. The Breeder will coordinate arrangements but accepts no liability for airline delays or changes outside their control.
8. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state or province in which the Breeder is domiciled. Any disputes shall be resolved through mediation before pursuing legal action.
9. Entire Agreement
This contract constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any prior verbal or written communications regarding the sale of the puppy described herein. No modifications are valid unless made in writing and signed by both parties.
